Individual Coaching is an agreement between the coach and the person being coached which involves a one on one relationship. This may be in person, by telephone or video conferencing. The sessions are confidential and the agenda is determined by the person being coached.
Group Coaching may be provided for individuals or a team. As with any other coaching relationship, the agenda is defined in the initial coaching agreement.
Pastoral Mentoring is a one on one relationship with the person being mentored. It is generally of longer duration than a coaching relationship. The relationship can be initiated by the mentor or his/her supervisor. The parameters of the relationship are defined by a mentoring agreement.
District Superintendent Coaching may be provided for individuals or a team, specific to the role of the District Superintendent in the United Methodist Church. As with any other coaching relationship, the agenda is defined in the initial coaching agreement.
Church Consultation involves working with the church and the pastor in assessing ministry and ministry needs within the congregation. This can be as simple as making a preliminary assessment or as involved as assisting in the development of a new or renewed vision for the church and its ministry. In the initial consultation, the Compass Point Consultant along with the church leadership, will develop a Plan of Consultation.
Covenant Coaching Groups
Covenant Coaching Groups is a coaching relationship between the coach and several persons, usually not to exceed eight in number. Usually they are persons who share similar responsibilities and fulfill similar roles. In this coaching relationship, the agenda is predetermined for the person being coached.
